Clean Energy Nillumbik is pleased to announce that a collaboration between Rob Hayley and Tim Read titled Solar Honey is the successful submission for the waste art sculpture in 2021. Rob is from St Andrews and works mostly with glass through Rob’s Glassworx, while Tim works with metal through Tread Sculptures in Kangaroo Ground. Both artists are well known for their use of reclaimed materials and have produced some spectacular works on their own and together. The sculpture will be unveiled on 7 November 2021 along with the artists’ statement. It will be made from 100% reclaimed materials except for a solar light which will the sculpture at night.
