Budget assistance for efficient heating

Clean Energy Nillumbik is looking for two households in need of some help to upgrade their heating. We will pay up to $2,500 towards the cost of a Daikin Cora reverse cycle air conditioner, including installation. Households applying must be eligible to participate in the Victorian Government’s Home Heating and Cooling Upgrade Program (further information here). The rebate available from the HHCUP is $1,000 plus some assistance to upgrade the switchboard and decommission the old inefficient heater (conditions apply).

To be eligible for this assistance the households should be struggling to pay their energy bills and on a low income (low income is not defined, but would usually be under $90,000 pa and other household circumstances may be taken into account, such as managing an ongoing medical condition or disability). The household should be aiming to replace an inefficient gas or electric heater. The household must be within the Shire of Nillumbik.

To apply please complete the CEN Heater Application Form (see below) and send to projects@cleanenergynillumbik.org.au before 3 October 2022. We will contact you to discuss your application and a home visit may be required to assess the right unit for your circumstances.

If you have questions, please email them to projects@cleanenergynillumbik.org.au.

This program is courtesy of funding from Nillumbik Shire Council and our bulk purchase program.
