About the Event

Teen and Young Adult Climate Change ChillOut

COVID, COVID, COVID !!  That's all anyone talks about these days. Frustrating isn't it, when you know that climate change is the other massive issue of our time and it hardly gets any attention ?

Clean Energy Nillumbik (CEN) is hosting two sessions on Saturday 24 April to bring together Nillumbik's teens and young adults to talk about how it feels to be a young person facing a climate-different future. Importantly, participants will dream up what practical action can be taken around Nillumbik and beyond to influence the way our community thinks about climate change.

If you are between 13 and 21, and would like to talk to like-minded peers about what you can do as individuals or a group, then join us for a very different start to 2021. this is where to go if you want to take some action, but don't know where to start.

There will also be a guest appearance from Nillumbik local psychologist Katta O'Donnnell (she is actually sueing the australian Government for failing to address climate change.

There are two sessions being held on Saturday 24 April at the Edendale Farm, 30 Gastons Rd Eltham.

Session 1 :   10am - 12 noon

Session 2 :   1:30 - 3:30pm

You can register to either of these sessions.

Because of Covid we have limited places available. Grab your friends or come alone and make some new ones. You will need to bring along your mask and drink bottle.

You can register by clicking on the 'Register button' on this page.

This event is funded by Nillumbik Council's Practically Green Program and is organised by Clean Energy Nillumbik (CEN), which is holding a wide range of free events and activities to Re-Energise our Community in 2021.
