Solar Victoria announced today (26.4.2022) Cutting home and business energy bills | Solar Victoria that they are expanding the Solar Homes and Solar Business program.
In short, the changes include:
Residential - as of mid-May 2022
Households will be able to access rebates for both solar panels and a solar hot water/ heat pump system
Victorians who have previously accessed the $1,400 solar panel rebate will be able to access an additional 50% rebate of up to $1,000 to have solar hot water or a high-efficiency electric heat pump system installed.
Business program - as of 29 April 2022
Businesses with up to 50 employees will be able to access a rebate of up to $3,500 to install solar panels – an increase from the current threshold of 20 staff.
Businesses will also become eligible for interest-free loans of between $1,000 and $5,000 to reduce upfront costs for solar installation.
